America is slowly trying to wean off dependence on foreign oil and the cars are very efficient in the application. Not only is it affordable for eco-conscious driving, but these vehicles are also put less pollution. Ford is intensifying its new hybrid C-MAX. This car is scheduled to be released in late 2012 or early 2012 and will be the key players to serious competition. This vehicle is expected to be capable of reaching speeds of 47 mph on the electric motor alone. Travel faster than that and the traditional engine and take an extra boost. This means that the C-MAX is about the mark of 50 miles per gallon and give the Prius, currently the best-selling hybrid in America, a serious competition.

Ford plants to build this car in the large assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan. Ford is certainly very respectful of the environment and the Michigan plant that feeds the system uses energy from sunlight and use a mix of traditional energy and renewable energy. Most major automakers to get batteries from other suppliers, but Ford will use its own which will result in lower overall costs to consumers. Most hybrids use NiMH batteries for sale, but the C-MAX used lithium-ion batteries, which are much lighter and smaller. The Prius is a vehicle that style NiMH battery.

The car will proudly advantage of hybrids, with a blue tint headlights and grill-style Aston Martin. C-MAX engine is a V4 engine Atkinson cycle. The propulsion system C-MAX will be similar to the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid, but an improved version with more power and versatility. The powertrain makes the car drive in electric mode up to speeds determined and that the traditional motor take over once the vehicle has a high speed. Consumers can choose between two versions, the hybrid and plug-in hybrid (the Energi C-MAX). The plug-in version can be plugged into an ordinary one hundred and twenty for a quick charge.

Drivers with a smart phone will be able to download a versatile and very useful application called My Mobile Ford. This allows the driver to locate the vehicle via GPS, if necessary, view the power status of the car and even control the cabin temperature. You can even load the car at the exact moment when electricity rates are lowest in order to minimize utility bills.

Ford certainly a lot of buzz and talk in the hybrid market with its new hybrid, versatile and innovative. Competition is fierce as automakers to compete by building more efficient cars with the Prius as the top cars to beat. At this time, the Prius is more and more popular hybrids sold in America. Let’s see if the C-MAX in the market can infuse new strength and take the hybrid market to the next level.
