Almost exactly the same as its 2009 predecessor, the 2010 Infinity M35 sedan continues its steady performance with the same 3.5L V6 dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine as last year. The engine is rated at 303 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. The torque served up by this power plant is 262 foot pounds at 4,800 rpm. The compression ratio of this engine is 10.6, with a 95.5 millimeter bore and an 81.4 mm stroke. This same engine is available in both the rear wheel drive and all wheel drive models.
The engine has four valves per cylinder controlled by variable valve and camshaft timing to reduce emissions and to deliver full power throughout its performance range. The sequential multi point fuel injection system helps the M35 get the maximum possible fuel efficiency. Infinity calls for the use of only premium unleaded gasoline in this car, making its mileage rating and high octane requirement particularly expensive.
